The world’s first Wii tennis tournament! Awesome cool. Singapore should have one too. (via kottke)
I don’t know.. I actually really like a bunch of these! Hahahahha. (thanks, vick - bunny hates you now.)
Cool kid on the block, Sputtr. is trying its hardest to win the niftyest website award. And it’s probably right up there in the front - a collection of 36 of your favourite search engines, all combined into one very user-friendly, pretty, and handy Web2.0 page, all with the option to increase the number of buttons.
I probably wouldn’t be able to live without this if I didn’t already have - and rely on - Sogudi. (Yes, I’m still a Safari user.) What can I say.

In the spirit of graduating (can anyone tell I’m actually super relieved that I’m friggin finally done with it), I thought I’d quote something from my favourite ever musical:
What do you do with a B.A. in English?
What is my life going to be?
4 years of college,
And plenty of knowledge,
Have earned me this useless degree!
I can’t pay the bills yet,
‘Cause I have no skills yet,
The world is a big scary place!
Here’s the song for all of you who haven’t managed to watch it/don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s really only the first minute that’s applicable, but it’s a super funny song anyway. :)
Now Playing: What Do You Do With A B.A. In English/It Sucks To Be Me - Avenue Q soundtrack
This is the bunny. Just wanted to tell everybody that my clever (but lazy) girlfriend, w., has passed her final round of exams and now has a B.A. in English Language.
According to Ashwin, this means that she now has real authority to correct everybody else’s English, much to our annoyance. Oh well.
Needless to say, I am the happiest and most relieved one about this, because I now will be spared the awful task of having to wake her up for early morning lectures - most of which she never makes it to anyway. Which makes me late for work, but for no good reason. I really wonder how she managed to pass everything.
It also saves me from being nagged daily by one of my well-meaning but repetitive colleagues, who seemed to have taken it upon herself to (s)mother w. into studying. She failed to realise that constantly urging ME to get w. to study wasn’t really going to work. But she wants some credit for w.’s passes anyway. *hands credit out.
Some credit must also go to vicki ho dot com slash blog who called w. and made a purportedly awful noise in her ear to wake her up on one occasion when I was away. I hope I never have to hear that noise. *hands more credit out.
Anyway, to celebrate, we went to Inagiku for dinner last night and ate till we were very ill (as usual). I don’t know how w. managed to have supper after that, but she did. I, on the other hand, was groaning in bed, and holding my belly in pain. I think I may have eaten just a little bit too much ginger. Oops. If any of you are interested, w. took some photos and they can be seen in this photoset. The head Teppanyaki chef was very nice and specially plated our dishes when he saw w.’s monster camera. I am scared of that monster, especially when she insists on taking pictures of me. It’s also very embarrassing when she takes it out in restaurants.
Okay. Time for dinner. This was quite fun. I would guest post again, but I have to return to work soon and I will probably be very busy and grumpy. I like staying at home. :( Anyway, thank you for having me. Bring my doggie bye bye!
PS: The pillows at Raffles The Plaza are uncomfytable.
When I was in Cambodia last September, as part of my royal celebrations (haha), I met a wonderful tour guide - Narin. He’s just emailed me to tell me that he has set up a website at siemreaptourguide.com. Narin was an awesome host when I was there - whether it was waking up at some godforsaken hour to catch the sunrise, or recommending awesome places to eat and try authentic Khmer cuisine, he knew where to go and what to do. He also has the most incredible nose for weather, which was lucky since I was there towards the end of the rainy season. I still remember once when we trekked up to Phnom Bakheng to see the sunset, and while waiting around, he suddenly appeared out of nowhere and told me that he was 100% sure it was going to rain before the sun managed to set. I wisely chose to listen to him, packed up my stuff and scampered off. About 5 minutes after we got into the car and headed back for the hotel, the sky all but fell down on us. I kinda felt bad for the other tourists who’d so eagerly snapped up my spot. Hurhur.
He was also really helpful and kept insisting on helping me to carry my tripod - he even wanted to help carry my camera bag! But thankfully for him I’ve got attachment issues to my camera bag and couldn’t let go of it. ;p My shoulder wasn’t quite as happy though.
Anyway, if you’re ever in Siem Reap, or planning a trip to visit that beautiful town and its wondrous neighbour, the Angkor Archaeological Complex, do look him up. Photo buffs: Narin’s really the guy for you. One thing I really loved about having him as company was how he always knew to drag me over to some strange little corner where there’d be a beautiful picture, framed really nicely through the shrubbery. Saved a lot of braincells for the composition of my photographs. :)
I’m hoping to revisit Siem Reap one day soon, and bring bunny with me this time. We’ll definitely be giving Narin a call, and you should too.
Watched the third instalment yesterday.. meh. Kinda predictable, kinda draggy, kinda the same. Nice effects and fairly entertaining.. and I’ve read a lot of reviews that were singing its praises but it just didn’t scratch my back. Ah well. At least I got to see like a dozen Johnny Depps on screen at the same time hee hee hee.
MY PEANUT.
So tired. After my very interrupted sleep that DID NOT get to last to 2pm, as it usually does, I was unmercifully dragged out of bed and down to ICA to make my new IC. I’ve been putting this off for a while but finally caved to bunny’s incessant nagging.
Anyway, it wasn’t all bad: I have since discovered that my “official” occupation is… *ZHANG ZHANG ZHANG*… Economically Inactive. I like that term. It sounds nicer than unemployed, but I’m a bit sad since if I had come next week (assuming I passed everything), I could have put my qualifications as B.A. instead of er GCE A Levels. Nevermind lah. In a while. ZHANG ZHANG ZHANG.
I must say, I think my occupation is a bit inaccurate. As far as I know, I’m depleting a source of money somewhere. So I’m not really inactive, am I? It’s more like a negative action, rather than a positive one. OKAY TIME TO SLEEP.
