Hello World

This is the bunny. Just wanted to tell everybody that my clever (but lazy) girlfriend, w., has passed her final round of exams and now has a B.A. in English Language.

According to Ashwin, this means that she now has real authority to correct everybody else’s English, much to our annoyance. Oh well.

Needless to say, I am the happiest and most relieved one about this, because I now will be spared the awful task of having to wake her up for early morning lectures – most of which she never makes it to anyway. Which makes me late for work, but for no good reason. I really wonder how she managed to pass everything.

It also saves me from being nagged daily by one of my well-meaning but repetitive colleagues, who seemed to have taken it upon herself to (s)mother w. into studying. She failed to realise that constantly urging ME to get w. to study wasn’t really going to work. But she wants some credit for w.’s passes anyway. *hands credit out.

Some credit must also go to vicki ho dot com slash blog who called w. and made a purportedly awful noise in her ear to wake her up on one occasion when I was away. I hope I never have to hear that noise. *hands more credit out.

Anyway, to celebrate, we went to Inagiku for dinner last night and ate till we were very ill (as usual). I don’t know how w. managed to have supper after that, but she did. I, on the other hand, was groaning in bed, and holding my belly in pain. I think I may have eaten just a little bit too much ginger. Oops. If any of you are interested, w. took some photos and they can be seen in this photoset. The head Teppanyaki chef was very nice and specially plated our dishes when he saw w.’s monster camera. I am scared of that monster, especially when she insists on taking pictures of me. It’s also very embarrassing when she takes it out in restaurants.

Okay. Time for dinner. This was quite fun. I would guest post again, but I have to return to work soon and I will probably be very busy and grumpy. I like staying at home. :( Anyway, thank you for having me. Bring my doggie bye bye!

PS: The pillows at Raffles The Plaza are uncomfytable.

  • y: Hallo hallo! You must be pleased that your exams are over too.

vick: w. has tried to demonstrate the sound to me but I don’t think it’s quite right. You must demo for me one day.

su: Is all w.’s fault – she started me on words like “uncomfytable” and now I always say it. Even when I’m at the doctor. Is a bit paiseh.

  • uncle says many congratulations – will open many bottles of wine to celebrate!

  • Heyyyyyyyyyy!! Congrat! for finally acquiring the most useless degree on earth! (OOPS, SORRY!) HAHAHA
I guess, some may say a degree in Archaeology, which I happen to have myself, is far more useless in the context of Singapore, to which I cannot agree more. ;-))

As for being someone else’s alarm clock…hey, I have been one for my 2 stubbornly-sleepy boys, as well as my husband Chris on weekend.I especially hate that part of waking my hubby up..because he will never wake up!!

  • bunny: yes i is pleased that i can wake up at 2pm and then go back to sleep at 3pm without any guilt whatsoever. yay. when are you heading back to work?
