Food Galore And Other Updates

&

Pub Fare Night happened today, and it was a motley gathering of sorts. Well, not really motley, but just not the same usual crowd. Seemed to go okay, for which I’m quite thankful, and – most importantly – everyone enjoyed the food. Only thing that wasn’t an accurate representation was apparently my bakewell tart, which was yummy and buttery and sweet and full of its frangipane goodness (almond meal, butter, sugar, eggs, NOT THE POISONOUS FLOWER, happy???), but didn’t have enough jam in it, and erm didn’t have the sickly-sweet icing on top. I contemplated dusting icing sugar, but it was quite sweet enough so I’m glad I didn’t.

Anyway, post-exams (and hopefully post-NUS) life has been treating me well. I haven’t been getting as drunk as a number of my peers, nor have I hopped on any planes (yet – I will be on one on Thursday, though). Life has been a sedentary TV-filled, food-hunting, lazy-afternoon-cuddling, appreciating-my-bunny-at-home-while-I-have-her-here kind of bliss, and I think I’m going to be quite miserable when she has to go back to work.

Also really happy for miss b who got a new job! Although I was looking forward to finally being able to hang out with you after so long, but it’s okay. I’ll just kope your DS Lite hee hee. I can go jio you for lunch anyway although I’m not at Club St anymore, since you know… I’m now aimless. :) Can’t wait for a couple of friends to come home (for good – and for summer break), but I’m slightly torn about this since their coming home means the date of departure for another couple of friends will be creeping up on me.
;br />
Anyway. Time to head off to bed. Tomorrow we go hunting for more food near the river.

The Lesbian Bride’s Handbook">The Lesbian Bride’s Handbook

Amusing (and heartwarming) article from NYmag. (On a slightly less happy topic, a letter published in ST about us awful degenerates, also known as homosexuals. And atarashi’s kickass reply.) I wonder if I’ll ever get to hold my own Party About Love in Singapore. I doubt it.

Wondering Aloud

Do more people prefer to hang their toilet rolls over or under? (Pictures taken from this funny post.) Also, I found a couple of polls here and here, which I find quite amusing, and also comforting – in that I’m not the only person thinking about this.

Next, does everyone FOLD their toilet paper into a square/rectangle/some other quadrilateral, or do you just scrunch the lot up before you er wipe?

In case anyone was interested to know – and also so you don’t feel so self conscious about answering – I’m an over-roller, and I fold. My rectangle’s usually either half or two thirds the size of a normal square of toilet paper.

Haha. I should probably get back to work. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you.

Edit: HAHA apparently there are plenty of toilet posts around the world of the intarweb. This guy did a survey on how people WIPE. Hilarious. Front to back, back to front, wetting the toilet paper, sitting, standing, squatting, half-half. MAN.
