I used to buy my vanilla from bunalun - that organic place in chip bee, but I think places like jones and culina have decent stuff sometimes. When I can't find good quality beans I just use the vanilla bean paste from shermays. Happily, I no longer have to do that island-wide trek now :) saffron can be found in supermarkets, no?
