The coolest shop everrrr to hit the streets. Rather useless website that only shows where it is, but everyone please go check it out. We just bought some cups and candles and self-shaking salt & pepper shakers from there, and are considering getting either the FrancisFrancis X1 or X6 Espresso machines instead of the Cafe Retro now. We’ll see.

I just realised that I’m 4 episodes behind on The O.C. Season 4 ‘cos I didn’t even realise it started! Well, so much for studying hard.

Random Observations #10

What kind of a talk show asks questions like “When was the last time you cried?”

It seriously sounds more like something that belongs on those 50 things your friends don’t know about you chain emails/memes.

And who the hell answers a question like that with “Well you know, it was a couple of days ago, and, like, I was walking to my car in Malibu, like, you know, just like, a normal kind of person…….”

I miss Oprah.

The British accent is sooo much sexier than the American one. No offence intended.

*turns off tv to go stare at Saint. :)

Edit: Although, I must say, I do prefer the American accent to those half-baked half-British, half-American accents that belong to people who can’t decide if they want to be Anglicized or Anglicised.

The Tyra show is so trying to be the Oprah show. They even have the same chairs.

Spin offs are so last season.

HIP HIP HOORAY!!

I got my CF card back complete with all the 252 pictures I took on the first day of my holiday in Siem Reap/Angkor Archaeological Complex, as well as a handful from the second day.

Is a happy camper.

Edit: Spoke too soon, half the good ones are all corrupted. Grrr. Oh well, some is better than none, aye?

Marital Bliss

So the main reason why we were in Hong Kong last weekend was to attend probably the most beautiful wedding ceremony I’ve ever witnessed in my life. The bride was absolutely stunning, the groom looked dashing as well, and if not for the priest who presided over the ceremony and would NOT stop going on about the wine (and other inappropriate things like rubbing each other), it was absolutely lovely.

I managed to sneak a couple of pictures during the church ceremony, but unfortunately all I had with me was my Asahi Pentax ME and a single roll of b/w film. I finally got round to collecting the scans back and have uploaded some in this flickr set.

HAPPY BIRHTDAY BIAORY

I love you babe! Hope you had an awesome time. It’s been an awesome year and you’re definitely one of the key factors that made it as great as it has been.

Right now though, I’m so tired. But everyone seemed to really like the food and I was beaming from ear to ear. :) I’ve never done anything of that magnitude before but I think it turned out pretty well, especially considering I have all of two hobs, 2 pots, 1 frying pan, and a fuckload of tin-foil-pans. Will post pictures when my arm works again tomorrow.

PS: Also slightly drunk maybe.

PPS: Edited to include the picture of the crostini - I think that (and maybe the mini chicken maryland) was the most popular food item last night.

Maternal Instincts

I love how Rio looks in this green stripey hoodie that I got for him. Topshop now has a kids range (they call it mini) and I got him this hoodie (which he doesn’t really seem to like but I don’t care he looks so cute in it!) and this other grungey looking ripped tee which seems a little too big for him at present moment.

Amira’s very tickled by how I adamantly refuse to have any children of my own yet go a bit nuts buying presents for other peoples’ kids. But hey if you ask me - that’s what being a godparent is about! All the fun, minus all the responsibility. Plus, if they don’t behave, you can always return them to their owner after a couple of hours. ;p
