Everyday I Think Of Money

Posted in Uncategorized | 6 Comments »

So the new Mac Pro is out, and proclaiming 5 million different possible configurations. Not that I doubt them, but I figure if you’re already going to go for the best of the best, why stop halfway? Why not just get the most expensive/advanced/downright insane configuration possible?

Oh that’s right. ‘Cos it’s gonna cost you close to S$30k. And that’s assuming that after you pay the S$30k for the computer you’ll still have money to pay for your electricity bills to run the computer, and either erm pay for software (ouch) or take a trip to somewhere far, far away to get er… cheaper(?) software.

Anyway. It was fun pretending for 10 minutes that I was gonna get a new computer. And that when I did, I was going to be so swimmingly loaded in cash that I could just keep adding random things I barely knew how to use on, just so.

Okay, enough dreaming. It’s back to reality, and saving up for my next lens. :|

True Love

Posted in Uncategorized | 17 Comments »

I was telling Amira about how the bunny plans to crash one lecture with me when she’s got a couple of days off later in September, and the following conversation ensued:

A: why on earth would anyone do that?
w: because she misses school? who knows. heh.
A: …
w: aiya dunno her lah.
A: IT’S TRUE LOVE, I TELL YOU!

I suppose that’s one way of looking at it?

Went for JBJ over the weekend, and this line stuck with me. Occupational hazard of being an e-lang major.

Imperfect past makes present tense.

Where Have All The Flowers Gone

Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

When laying in bed last night, I suddenly realised that my summer holidays are over. As in, finito. Like, no more. Gone. For good. I’ve been whingeing about how they’re ending for the past 2 or 3 weeks, but last night it finally hit me - they’ve ended.

Unfortunately, it looks as though I’m getting no sympathy from the bunny-front. When I burst into my (howly) rendition of the song, Where Have All The Flowers Gone, suddenly there was a sputtering bunny who was laughing so hard that her body was just vibrating (no sound) and she kinda looked like she was going to cry.

I think I’ll just tell myself she was crying along with me. :)

Pffft.

Lost wallet. Grumpy. Got drunk last night while waiting for a friend to show up - ended up finishing a bottle of wine on my own. More drinks tonight. School starts on Monday, and I lost the tickets for Unbearable Lightness of Being (the movie - showing at the arts house?) on Saturday ‘cos the damn things were in my wallet that just bloody fucking vanished into the middle of fucking nowhere. To top it all off, I just sneezed fucking 16 times in a row, and I’m tired out from it. The mountain of tissues in front of me is growing. Knowing my luck, my period will also appear within the next couple of days.

Whoever found/took my wallet and didn’t bother to think of returning it, you’re a jerk. I hope you rot in hell. I have no idea what use you could POSSIBLY have for stealing my fucking matriculation card. And I hope your butt hurts if you decide to treat yourself to the fucking show on Saturday. May lightning strike you down. Right now. ZAP.

Question

Posted in Uncategorized | 10 Comments »

I’m thinking of starting to sell some pocket/portable ashtrays. Are there any civic-minded smokers out there who would be interested? I figure they’d be priced at about S$10-15, and are about 2 inches tall and can fit about 6 or 7 butts before they need to be emptied. Maybe when ci’en gets her store online I can include it in the accessories/misc section. Heh. Basically right now they look like candy/mint tins with a chain attached. I’ve made 2 so far, one’s with dfe and one’s with me.. will probably upload a couple of pictures in a bit.

Anyway, yes. If anyone thinks they’d be interested in something like that, please leave a comment or email me! Thanks.

Things You Always Wanted To Know About Sleeping With A Gwailo

Disclaimer: The following post was written by a friend of mine, who, from here on, shall be referred to as “Lucky Goldstar”. Lucky was suddenly possessed with the urge to write the following piece, and then decided she wanted the world to have access to it, and I - strangely enough - agreed to publish it for her. (Probably because I hadn’t read it yet, at the point of agreement.) The bunny would like you to know that this article and the opinions it expresses should not be associated with me - since I really wouldn’t know - and she will er.. scold you very fiercely if you try to imply anything of this nature. Any comments for this piece should be directed at Ms Goldstar - I will duly notify her when I have received any, but she is not bound to respond to all comments. The article was also created in jest, and was not meant to cause offense to any men - white or otherwise. By clicking on the following link, you indicate that you have understood what you have read in this paragraph. Read the rest of this entry »

Il Lido

Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »
; style=

After the past few months of sitting and waiting, I finally found a good enough reason to head over to Il Lido in Sentosa. I’m quite a fan of Italian food (at least when properly done), and have been wanting to check this new place out. However, we all know that restaurants deserve at least 6 months before you make the sojourn over expecting any level of food and service near what the institution should be capable of.

Anyhoo, as we were on our way out for dinner on Saturday, the bunny suddenly remembered having seen an advertisement where HSBC credit card holders can get a 1-for-1 lunch deal at Il Lido. What better reason than that to hop on over - this way you get to try it and not risk having to pay the potentially overpriced full fare for a so-so meal. Whatever the case, Il Lido didn’t disappoint. Read the rest of this entry »
