So I’ve put off linking to Sayoni for the longest time, because I couldn’t decide if I really wanted dubdew to be known as what they’d linked me as - a gay blog.
Yes, I’m bisexual. I’m sure most of you reading this have garnered that much by now, especially judging by how often I have gross, sappy references to my girlfriend and the chicken sandwiches I’m making for her. But just because I am, doesn’t mean that’s how I want to be defined. There are so many aspects to my life which I feel are that much more defining (or maybe not) - I’m female, I’m an undergraduate, I’m an alky, I’m a girlfriend, I’m a budding photographer, I’m a blogger (eeee I hate that word), I’m a bookworm, I’m a tech-junkie, I’m a mac user… and so many other things.
But what they’re doing is good - in my opinion. They’re providing somewhere for people like us to go. People who may not be sure of their sexuality, people who may not really know what’s happening in their lives, people who are confused, people who need to know that what they’re doing isn’t unnatural or whatever else they’re grappling with.
For those of you who may not know, they’ve got 2 sections: a blog and a forum. So if you think you may not know enough people like you, and you happen to be female and perhaps-not-heterosexual, this might be a place you’d like to check out.

why bother about the labels that others put on you?
you’ve got a life to live :-)

You have a lot going for you, gay or not. The people who are homophobic are as myopic and bigoted as racists and gender chauvinists. Those plebes, my dear, only have your hand to talk to.

You are you. Nobody can change that. Thanks for linking up and I must say after reading through some of your articles, you’re quite something! Keep on writing…

gecko: Exactly. I was deferring from the label I was given on their website for the longest time.
Andrea: Thanks dear. :)
sayoni: You’re welcome.
