My New Baby!

Posted in Uncategorized | 6 Comments »

Guess which sexy camera is sitting in my lap now, battery charging and getting all ready to go for a lifetime of trigger-happiness with me!

I traded the kit lens in for a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, and topped the whole loving family off with a new Crumpler. A nifty 4 Million Dollar Home should be a snug enough carrybag for my baby.

I’m the happiest camper in the world. (And not just because of the camera, but because of my bunny.)

Eggs

Posted in Uncategorized | 5 Comments »

I love eggs. They’re one of my favourite foods, and probably the most versatile. (My absolute favourite would have to be prawns but that’s a different story.)

Anyhoo, here are some pictures of the breakfast I just cooked my bunny. We’re [insert number] months old today, so I planned a 5 stage thingiebob for her, since she always spoils me.

I know there’s plenty of debate going around what with chefs insisting that the perfect omelette is never browned, but I personally love mine this way. I’m not that big a fan of runny eggs, unless scrambled - and even then I don’t like them too runny - so this is the perfect omelette for me! Anyway, I’m particularly pleased with how the scrambled ones turned out. (Pictured above.)

Stage 1 and 2 are not for public consumption. :D

Stage 3 involved this breakfast, Stage 4 was a full body massage that she didn’t know was going to happen until I’d started since I blindfolded her (she was quite perturbed and really didn’t know what to expect) and Stage 5……… well, she still doesn’t know what Stage 5 is going to be, so I’ll write about that when we get back. Or maybe tomorrow, in case there’s an unexpected Stage 6 ;p

Grumpy.

I’m grumpy and because I was so tired yesterday, I fell asleep at 1040, while trying to reply belle’s SMS-es which were in turn trying to convince me to heat to Beat!. Now it’s 540am and I’m wide awake as can be, and even grumpier ‘cos I have pins and needles.

Maybe I should go on a silent retreat. Right now I have a feeling that there exist but 3 or 4 people in the world whose voices I can tolerate - I’m sick of constant noise, and I don’t even want to listen to music. Funnily enough, when I do plug into my iPod, I blast it at an eardrum-popping volume. Perhaps to drown everything else out.

Someone downstairs was honking like there was no tomorrow earlier. I opened the windows and wanted to yell to him/her to shut the bloody fuck up but I couldn’t see ANY jam-like traffic situation ANYWHERE so maybe the person was just a psychopot who was getting something out of his system. God knows I need to do something like that now.

Anyway. I’m grumpy. I hope I cheer up soon, ‘cos I’ve got a double date tonight that I was really looking forward to. Then again, we must all have faith in the wonderous powers of CHILLI CRAB.

Moleskine Exhibition

Posted in Uncategorized | 12 Comments »

So I’ve just received word that Books Actually is hosting a Moleskine Exhibition, and it’s likely to be held from the 26th of May for 19 days. It’s really not as if I need more things to spend the money I don’t have on, nor do I need any more moleskines to choose from.

But anyway, trot on down, people! As you all know, I already love this place.

Note: Their opening hours have changed to Monday - Sunday, 11am to 9pm, and they are closed on Wednesdays, unlike what’s written on this chalkboard. (That was from a while back.)

Tomorrow, Tomorrow

Posted in Uncategorized | 6 Comments »

… I love you, tomorrow!

Tomorrow, I’ll be virtually free (”virtually” because I still have one paper a week from tomorrow but who cares anymore) and I also get to apply for a part time job ($$$$$$$$$$$$) haha and basically I just can’t wait for tomorrow because it means that I’m practically on summer break!

Sidenote: I’ve always found it quite weird that we still refer to it as ’summer break’ because Singapore is a tropical rain forest (stop correcting me) and it’s friggin summer all year round. Except for the beginning of this year when it was actually pretty cold and rainy or was it December last year ah who cares TOMORROW TOMORROW I LOVE YOU TOMORROW YOU’RE ONLYYYY A DAAAAYYY AAAAWAYYYY!!!!!

(The word “tomorrow” officially looks very strange.)

PS: Everybody I love CALENDAR GIRL by stars its loverrrrly and whoopdeedoo it’s time to sleep i have a paper in 8.5 hours. DUBDEWOUT

Somebody please shoot me if this isn’t the cutest thing I’ve seen all week.

Then again, if you consider that my daily dose of eye candy has stemmed from notes, textbooks, and the occasional camera/lens photo since I’m currently in the process of deciding what to get, then it’s not a hard fight really.

You know I’m hard up for more interesting things to do when this die-hard-cat-lover is posting shots of a (really cute) puppy.

Edit: Here’s another really cute shot of the puppy’s behind while she takes a slurp from a backyard inflatable pool. -swoooon

The Empire Writes Back

Posted in Uncategorized | 7 Comments »

I really don’t know what to do when I’m studying for my Thursday paper and I find headings like this in my notes.

On a brighter note: I got 8/10, 8/10 and 10/10 for my online assessments! And considering that I got mostly 7-9/10 for the previous chapters which I did earlier in the semester, I’ve done okay-ish for the tests and projects, I think I should be able to pass this paper. Hooray!

Problem: If I had failed the online assessment, I’d be studying very hard now. Instead, I’ve lost whatever shred of motivation I once had.

I want to go shopping. -bleat
