Hong Kong

Posted in Uncategorized |

I’m too damn lazy to post about HK already. Suffice to say that I ate and ate and ate. And that the photos document the eating very well. All I’m gonna do is this: my itinerary. And you can go trawl through the flickr photoset for the visuals. I just made bak kut teh and the smell of it is drawing me away from my computer.

Saturday:
1430h: Arrived in HK
1530h: Tea at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental’s MO Bar
Evening: Took a walk around the Mid-Levels while shopping for some toiletries. (Yes, we were too lazy to bring any.)
1930h: Dinner (Korean barbecue) at the Football Club with the crazy ladies.

Sunday:
1200h: Yum cha at Maxim’s City Hall Palace
1530h: Snacked at can.teen after walking around IFC Mall One
1630h: Met bunny’s friend, had tea at Le Goûter Bernardaud
2000h: Italian food at Lot 10

Monday:
1000h: Breakfast at Starbucks, one latte, one chai latte, finger sandwiches and a sausage roll.
1400h: Cheeseburgers and chicken wings at Starlit Diner in Disneyland
1630h: Tea and mango sticky rice at The Corner Cafe on Main Street USA, Disneyland
2000h: Chinese fine dining at Lung King Heen at the Four Season’s Hotel

Tuesday:
0930h: Breakfast at TW Cafe, we discovered the world’s best coffee.
1015h: Bought some dan tarts and sa yong from Tai Cheung Bakery
1400h: Yum cha again at Luk Yu Teahouse, with their famous pork chop rice
2000h: Roast goose dinner at The Square in Two Exchange Square.
2200h: Tong sui at a streetside stall on Elgin Street

Wednesday:
1100h: I had yesterday’s dan tarts for breakfast at home
1300h: Wonton mee and shui gao at Mak’s Noodle House
1430h: Coffee and butter toast at TW Cafe, since lunch was so small
1530h: Shopped around, bought some pei tan from Yung Kee Restaurant and stumbled upon my favourite dan tarts at Dan Tart Wong
1700h: Tea and lemon cake at Le Goûter Bernardaud in IFC Mall One
1815h: Left for the airport via the Airport Express
1915h: Roast goose, yang chow fried rice, chee cheong fan and beef noodles at the airport
1940h: Ran like hell so we wouldn’t miss our flight

Suddenly it looks as though I’ve had more than 19 meals.
