I feel ill. (via wurh)
Ended up at Wala’s after a few-week hiatus, thanks to various other obligations, with belle last night. All was going well, especially with the various mambo-moves I was suddenly possessed to act out, until all of a sudden, the bunny noticed a fist next to belle’s head. A fist that was clenched, and just hovering next to her right ear. A fist that wouldn’t leave.
Turned out to belong to an ang moh dude trying to catch her attention. After having removed the offending fist, he stared expectantly at the back of her head for a while, before getting the hint that she wasn’t going to give him a split second of her time. The three of us gasped in incredulity for a couple of seconds before we all dissolved in laughter and had to leave so we could screech about it downstairs.
Things like this only ever happen at Wala Wala to her, or her.
This is well cool.
Hurrah! NUS has finally come to its senses and made the mid-term recess week a FULL WEEK, instead of some crap 5 day recess that starts on Sunday and ends on Thursday.
Hooray for NUSSU - you finally seem to have served a purpose, apart from clogging up my inbox with various timewasting circulars.
I’ve just received word that my bunny’s friend who was due to pop anytime during our dinner last Saturday in HK has just … popped. And she’s got a healthy baby girl!
Congrats, Betty. Although you probably won’t be reading this. But anyway, congrats! And thanks for not popping during dinner. :D
Owwwwwww!! (via notchy)
I love the smiley faces in Gmail Chat!
And can I just say, this whole GBuy nonsense is exceedingly amusing.
I’m too damn lazy to post about HK already. Suffice to say that I ate and ate and ate. And that the photos document the eating very well. All I’m gonna do is this: my itinerary. And you can go trawl through the flickr photoset for the visuals. I just made bak kut teh and the smell of it is drawing me away from my computer.

Suddenly it looks as though I’ve had more than 19 meals.
The bunny and I headed out to Flutes At The Fort last night for a date - after this week she won’t be on leave anymore and the work’s just going to pile up all over again so we wanted to have a nice dinner before all of that collapsed on us.
It seems they’ve changed their menu again - or made some modifications, at least. For one, I don’t remember seeing the Tuna Tataki in their list of appetizers, the scallops seemed to be presented a little differently, and that Lemon Myrtle Cream Cheese Tart was missing! But we had a good time anyway - the food was great, the ambience was better than I remembered it, and the waitstaff were very well-mannered and attentive too. Read the rest of this entry »
I’m so pleased with my new wallet and my newer bag that I cannot pay attention to class! I just keep staring at my new purchases and gleaming with delight.
That’s the problem with buying New Things For Everyday Use - they’re around you all the time. When you’re like me that is: I get obsessed with my new purchases, and I use them until I never want to see them again, then they find a new home in the back of my cupboard.
But hopefully that’s not what will happen to these two, seeing as the wallet itself (it’s not fake - I didn’t go to Shen Zhen) cost more than I spent in total on my previous trip to Hong Kong.
